The G1155T Traveller Tripod is one of the most compact carbon fibre tripod Gitzo has on the market, and when completely folded, stands at a diminutive 14.2 inches !

At just under five feet when fully extended, the Traveller rises as tall as most standard Gitzo Tripods, yet thanks to a ground-breaking 180˚ folding mechanism, is a full 25% shorter and more compact when folded, making the it perfect for carrying in a photographer's hand luggage. The G1155T weighs only 2.2 lbs and is the ideal solution for photographers on the move in situations where space and weight is at a premium.

It only takes seconds to open and secure the tripod with the new Anti-Leg-Rotation (ALR) system. Just loosen all twist locks at the same time and pull down the leg before tightening the twist locks, making setup a mere 15 seconds.

A newly redesigned built-in, spring-loaded, retractable accessory hook provides a place to hang equipment, such as camera, sand or water bags, on the bottom of the centre column.

The Traveller also is built with Gitzo's anti-rotation grooved centre column
and the centre column-locking collar makes it easier to adjust the column quickly.

MATERIAL

Made of Carbon 2, this all new six-layer tube construction process makes it stronger than existing carbon, yet 15% lighter.

Developed using a unique manufacturing process based on pull winding of long carbon fibres which are precisely wrapped and combined under high temperature and pressure with epoxy resin.This process ensures stiff, light tubes that are resistant to bending and perform with a high degree of stability and compression strength to provide greater capacity to absorb vibrations and withstand fatigue.

The legs are assembled using Gitzo's "H.I.S." a dual "screw thread and glue" jointing technology that provides greater durability and reliability than alternative methods.
