A Zero WB Filter will give your images a more natural white balance
as preferred by portrait & wedding photographers
A Custom White Balance is used to override the Auto WB setting created by your digital camera.
The Zero WB Filter can create a more natural compensation setting which can be more accurate in many circumstances than the Auto White Balance provided by the camera itself.
After a Custom White Balance is set, the camera will distribute the red, green, and blue colour levels in any image that a user has taken to set the correct colour balance.
You can then continue photographing with the same custom setting to achieve consistent results for the duration of a shoot. (under the same source & position of light)
Without a custom setting even slight changes in image framing can fool the normal Auto White Balance abilities of most digital cameras and the Zero WB filter helps avoid this.
Basic information on how to use the White Balance Filter is listed below...
We recommend that you become familiar with how to set a Custom White Balance on your camera
before using Zero WB Filter for the first time ( If not please refer to your camera instruction manual )
Set camera to Program or Auto Switch focusing to manual Set camera AWB to Custom Mode Hold Zero WB filter tightly against the front of the lens Point camera towards main light source Take an exposure and remove the filter From the camera menu select Custom White Balance Then using this setting change camera auto focus / exposure to those required for the subject and continue shooting unless lighting position or lighting conditions change |
